Outdoor artistry

They call themselves the “Monday Morning Painters,” and each week they find a special Sonoma County landscape for their outdoor artistry. Recently they gathered at Annadel Winery near Oakmont to capture the vines, rose garden and historic cabins on canvas.
The group was started by Patrick Fanning, a local Sonoma County landscape artist. To join in the outings, just show up and paint, following the group’s admonition to “please be polite” as the site is often on private property.
Other painting spots this summer have included a lavender-colored barn in Kenwood, Lynmar Winery in Sebastopol, Lake Ralphine at Howarth Park and Schoolhouse Beach north of Bodega Bay.

This is a great group of painters, and nice people as well! I’m proud to be able to paint with them from time to time.
