Editor: I am struck by the similarity between what is happening to our

Lafferty Ranch and a continuing problem along our coastline. Affluent people

purchase the most desirable of our beautiful coastal vistas and then close

them to the public. If we are so foolish to barter away Sonoma Mountain, one

more treasure will have been taken from our children.

Seeing that our elected representatives are so easily swayed by secret

agendas or desires to placate the wealthy before the townspeople, let's demand

that we keep Lafferty Ranch!
