Like the maniac in the ''Halloween'' series, the minute you think '80s pop
bands such as Foreigner and Loverboy are good and dead, they start singing
some crazy love anthem and rise from the grave, grisly bi-levels and sweat
bands still in place.
Foreigner -- whose name bears more relevance than ever in a music realm now
governed by punk and techno -- has risen. The ex-stadium rockers play 7 p.m.
Friday at Konocti Harbor Resort in Kelseyville.
It's been 18 years since guitarist-composer Mick Jones and singer Lou Gramm
formed their rock radio factory and began stamping out innocuous -- and
profitable -- pop.
Those who remember at all will never forget ''Feels Like the First Time,''
''Cold As Ice,'' ''Hot Blooded'' or ''Juke Box Hero''?
Foreigner has a new album, ''Mr. Moonlight.'' And Jones and Gramm are
saying it feels like the first time. Tickets: $40; $65 with dinner. Phone:
1-800-862-4930.
