Faces of Sonoma County

Historian Gaye LeBaron likes to say that a town without a town character has grown too big. By that standard, Sonoma County towns are still just right. We’ve singled out 10 locals who easily fit the description.

Soome are civic boosters who wouldn’t miss a town function. Others stand out in a crowd (or in one case, a field) or are quirky in some ingratiating way. A few more are reticent, but quietly fill a need without demanding recognition.
