‘Smash Mob’ hits Oliver’s Market and YouTube

It was a quiet day at the northeast Santa Rosa Oliver’s Market — until dancers began to bust a few moves in the soda aisle.
Soon, the whole store was occupied by a “Smash Mob,” an advertisement’s play on words from the more traditional “flash mob.”
The Smash Mob that took place at Oliver’s in late October was organized by Jennifer Hedgpeth, founder of Apron String Farms (formerly Aunt Aggie’s Foods). Hedgpeth posted a video of the event on YouTube last week, filmed by several students from Montgomery High School’s International Baccalaureate program.
Hedgpeth started Apron String Farms earlier this year, using an aunt’s family recipe of tomato relish to create Tomato Smash, an award-winning business venture. Readers can read more about Hedgpeth here and view the video below.
