Save on fair admission and rides
Peace, Love & Fair is the theme for this year’s Sonoma County Fair, which begins Thursday, July 24, and runs through August 10, except Mondays. If you plan to attend frequently to see various shows and take kids on carnival rides, a season pass might be the way to go. Listed below are some other ways to save money when taking in the sights, smells and sounds of the fair.
Free admission days:
Thursdays – Seniors (60+)
Fridays – Kids (12 and under)
Presale discounts available through July 23:
Season pass (limited supply) – $40 (nontransferable)
General admission – $11 ($13 without discount)
Family Pack – $40 ($49 value), includes three general admissions, two children’s admissions and a $6 parking pass.
Carnival coupons (limited supply) – $25, includes 10 ride tickets or wristband, 2-for-1 play coupon, free popcorn and gift.
Days and ways to get a discount on admission:
1) On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, admission and carnival wristband for $22.
2) On Fridays, bring twocans, bags or boxes of nonperishable food for Redwood Empire Food Bank for $2 discount.
3) Aug. 9 until 6 p.m., kids wearing superhero costume receive $3 discount.
4) Aug. 10, Sonoma County Regional Parks pass holders receive $3 discount (for up to four people).
Thursdays – Sundays, pay $35 for a wristband for unlimited rides.
Law enforcement personnel receive $5 off wristbands for up to 4 guests each day.
