“Partnering with the Beaver to Restore our Watershed and Recover Salmon,” will be presented at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5 at Pepperwood Preserve, 2130 Pepperwood Preserve Road (use 3450 Franz Valley Road). Speakers Brock Dolman and Kate Lundquist are with the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center’s WATER Institute. The lecture is free, though donations are welcome. No reservations are necessary. Santa Rosa Iris Society’s Annual Rhizome Sale, featuring newer varieties of tall bearded iris in many color combinations, will be held from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6, at Luther Burbank Art and Garden Center, 2050 Yulupa Avenue. “Cordage-Making Materials and Techniques” Workshop with Charlie Kennard runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at Heron Hall, Laguna Environmental Center, 900 Sanford Road. The Hive Dwellers headline a multi-band concert with Devon Williams, Secret Cat and the CapriSons that begins at 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Arlene Francis Center, 99 Sixth St. Tickets are $8 for this all-age event. 5th Annual Wounded Veterans Polo Benefit runs from 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7 at Trione Polo Field, 560 White Oak Drive (Oakmont). Tickets, which include souvenir wine glass, are $25 – $50 ($20 for active duty military) for grass seating. Catered luncheon seats are $150. The event is hosted by the Wine Country Polo Club to generate support for the Pathway Home in Yountville and the Veterans’ Program at the National Center For Equine Facilitate Therapy in Woodside.
